We weren’t surprised when we heard news that visitor numbers at the Royal Highland Show hit record numbers this year, we were super busy in the food hall at our bustling stand and the porridge bar served up more fresh hot porridge than ever before.
In the food hall the Stoats team could barely keep up with the crowds looking for our limited edition jute bags packed with a range of tasty Stoats goodies. At the porridge bar, our own wee paddock with hay bale seating was a popular place for resting tired feet and the animal crowns proved a hit…it turns out a highland cow crown is an extremely desirable asset at the show! Most popular porridge of the show was stewed ginger rhubarb with crushed shortbread sprinkled over the top.
Now we’re all excited for the rest of the summer events in Scotland. Keep an eye out for Stoats Porridge Pots popping up at all the official Commonwealth Games venues in Glasgow. In August we’re at Foodies Festival in Edinburgh and then towards the end of September we’re going to have our porridge bar up at Gleneagles for the Ryder Cup feeding breakfast to the thousands of hungry spectators. You’ll probably find Bob somewhere on the course watching the golf!
